On the sixth day of creation, God stopped half way through the day and looked at what He had made and found it all to be good.  Then He made us in His own image and likeness, and as He had done on the other days, He looked at what He had made and saw that it was very good.  The only difference between everything being good and being very good was the creation of the human person.  This is your dignity!  This is who you are because human nature cannot change!

After God imposed the penalties for Original Sin, we must note that the human persons were not cursed.  Satan was cursed and the ground was cursed; Adam and Eve were not cursed.  This means we all have to deal with the effects of original sin, but we are not cursed.  God still loves us and still wants to be in a relationship with us.  He invites us into the love of the Trinity, and He desires to be invited into the love of each person’s heart and into the love of each married couple.
